A Pre-engineered buildings is a form of building, designed by a PEB supplier or PEB manufacturer that involves pre-designed and prefabricated steel structures which can be customized according to the specifications and assembled at site. PEB buildings are one of the most sought after methods of construction all over the world due to their flexibility and ease of construction. 

Pre-engineered buildings or PEB buildings are built using prefabricated I-shaped members, also known as I-beams. These I-beams can be shaped according to the requirements and available space and can be assembled at the site which reduces the time spent in construction significantly. Due to such pre-engineering, there is less amount of engineering required during the actual construction of the building at the site. If designed efficiently, it is possible to make a pre-engineered building 30% lighter than any conventional steel building.

Applications of PEBs

PEBs are extremely useful in industrial applications. The flexibility that PEBs can provide makes the process of setting up a factory much easier. Because the PEB can be designed according to the conditions at the site where the factory is planned to be set up, it becomes the ideal choice for hugely reducing the construction time. Heavy industries like ceramic factories, cement plants, iron and steel plants often use Pre-Engineered Buildings as their choice of construction.

Another advantage of PEBs is that they can be easily transported to the site and erected within a short period. This helps with the construction of malls, offices, showrooms, distribution centres as well as supermarkets. The construction of these structures should require as little time as possible because of the commercial implications that can be caused by a delay in the completion of the project.
